Medical certificate of good health for visa
To obtain an international visa for travel to many countries (see below), you will be required to submit a medical certificate of good health (IHR 2005) as part of the application documentation.
All our doctors are fully registered with the FCDO (Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office) and can provide you with a same-day medical certificate as a PDF; the original with a wet signature will be posted the next working day via Royal Mail Tracked 24. No appointment is needed – simply apply online.
What will I receive?
You will receive a verifiable letter signed by a medical professional, sent directly to your mobile and posted to your home, containing the following details:
- Your name and date of birth.
- A statement confirming you do not suffer from any disease that could cause serious repercussions to public health, according to the specifications of the International Health Regulations (IHR) of 2005.
- Signature and authorisation by one of our GMC and FCDO-registered UK doctors.
- Contact details of ZoomDoc Health with a QR code enabling a verification check.

What will I need to supply?
To allow us to assess your condition and issue a medical certificate, we will require the following information:
- A photo of your passport or driving license
- Your completed online medical form
- Your Summary Care Record
- A 30 second video upload to confirm your identity and that you have no infectious diseases
- Details of your regular NHS GP (if you have one)
What will happen after I purchase a medical certificate of good health for a visa?
After purchase, we will provide you with your unique certificate booking reference number, which allows will allow you to upload your medical evidence.
Once uploaded, our doctors will review your evidence on the same day (between 9am and 9pm GMT, 7 days a week) – they may call you if they have any questions.
Once validated, we will send your medical certificate of good health to you by email and SMS; the original with a wet signature will be posted the next working day via Royal Mail Tracked 24.

Can I use this medical certificate of good health when applying for a visa to Spain?
Yes, you can.
Spanish visa requirements have changed since the UK left the EU – a medical certificate of good health (according to the specifications of the International Health Regulations [IHR] of 2005) is now required as part of the application for a visa to Spain.
Our medical certificates of good health are issued by FCDO-registered doctors in accordance to the International Health Regulations of 2005 – they are therefore accepted as part of the application for a Spanish visa.
Can I use this medical certificate of good health when applying for a visa to Greece?
Greece require a specific additional form to be signed and stamped which our Doctors can provide for an additional £25 after you have been provided with our Visa Medical Certificate. This surcharge will be payable on provision of the additional Greek Visa medical form.
How long is this medical certificates valid?
Our medical certificate of good health (IHR 2005) is valid for 90 days (3 months) – this timeline is set by international guidelines.
Will I require any additional forms?
Please note that some countries require additional forms to be signed as part of visa application, so please check with the country you are visiting for exact requirements.
Our doctors can sign additional forms after we have validated your medical certificate of good health. There is an additional surcharge of £25 for any additional forms that need to be completed and signed.
France Work Requirements
Under French labour law, a medical fitness to work certificate is required as set out in article R.431-18 of the code of entry and residence for foreigners.
